R&D Management
Our leadership in the areas of R&D and Innovation are three critical areas for CENTUM. They have been since the creation of the company and will continue to be in the future. CENTUM continuously engages in pioneering research in its specialist fields, and has made significant contributions to improving its processes. All work carried out in this field has been done based on the "Open Innovation" concept.

R&D and Innovation Objective Definition
On an annual basis, CENTUM outlines a series of objectives and areas of research interest focused on the future of our core business areas. These objectives not only come from our internal professionals, (CENTUM actively promotes an employee suggestion culture), but also from our continued direct engagement with our clients and our markets. The identification of both new trends and market requirements is achieved by way of taking part in industry-related events, and using these forums as a "technological viewfinder". The most important events in the calendar are:
- » Le Bourget: Aeronautic Event par excellence where all the leaders in the field gather every two years to define technological trends and defense and civilian aeronautical requirements. CENTUM will be in attendance at this event in 2009.
- » Farnborough: Biennial defense and aeronautic event which takes place in the United Kingdom, and at which CENTUM was present in 2008.
- » MWC (Mobile World Congress): the world’s most important telecommunications event which is held annually Barcelona, and where CENTUM was present over the past two years. In 2009 we will participate at this event as full members.
- » Globalcom: national event where the current temperature of the sector and relevant trends can be gauged on national level.
