These systems normally include mission-oriented sensors and communication and navigation systems, which increase the effectiveness of the mission, providing an intuitive man-machine interface. Generally, these systems are comprised of a “ground” element integrated with a further element embedded in the platform.
Mission operators may execute control over sensors and other devices by means of multifunction consoles (MFC), connected to central processors through a high speed local area network.
