CENTUM commits its future to TecnoGetafe Engineering and Innovation Centre.
CENTUM SOLUTIONS has demonstrated its firm commitment to the Science and Technology Park, TECNOGETAFE, by signing a contract for the purchase of a 3,200m2-plot of land. In a ceremony on the 26th of July at the headquarters of the Business Development Institute (IMADE) in Madrid, CENTUM also confirmed that it has secured funding for the construction of the building, which, when completed in 2012, will house the central engineering and technological innovation divisions of the company, as well as serving as corporate headquarters. In this new location, CENTUM is looking to centralize both its current activities and its pioneering initiatives in the fields of Engineering and Research in this new facility, and expects to invest more than €4m, spread across various projects, in the coming years.
In line with its strategic development plan for the Aerospace, Telecommunications and Renewable Energy sectors, CENTUM has recognized that relocation to the technology park will enable it to benefit from both managerial and operational synergies, and this was a crucial factor in the company's decision to go ahead with the ambitious project.
In the words of Javier Chamorro, Managing Partner of Centum, "With our stated commitment to innovation and international expansion, CENTUM has needed for some time to find the right place to do this. We need a high performance environment, like the one offered by TECNOGETAFE, where we can join forces with both our clients and our collaborators, and all benefit from improved partnership. This is a fundamental need for a company like ours. We sincerely believe that TECNOGETAFE affords us exciting growth possibilities, and that it will help us to identify new business opportunities in an environment brimming with innovation”.
